Albuquerque, NM – Representatives of the Mechanical Electrical Sheet Metal Alliance (MESA) will be speaking to fair goers about the opportunities that exist within the construction and building industries. MESA is an organization made up of businesses and labor unions who have partnered together to generate awareness about the growing need for skilled workers in New Mexico.
Through Trade Up, a campaign developed to showcase the field’s opportunities and benefits, MESA representatives will be on-site at the state fair, in the Manuel Lujan Building to discuss details and answer any questions for those interested. With the current workforce nearing retirement, MESA is reaching out to hard working New Mexicans who are looking for a career that offers competitive benefits, pay and state-of-the-art training.
The “Trade Up” awareness program is sponsored by the Mechanical Contractors Association of New Mexico, Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local 412, New Mexico Sheet Metal Contractors Association, Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 49, National Electrical Contractors Association of New Mexico and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 611. The program actively promotes the benefits of formal apprenticeship training in the construction industry. For more information about MESA call (505) 341-9033 or visit http://www.TradeUpNM.com.
